Cold drains energy – often without you noticing. First your fingers go stiff, then your concentration fades. If you're shivering, you can no longer steer and brake precisely.

Staying warm on the road

  • React early: Take a break before you're really cold, not afterwards.
  • Warm drinks: A hot tea at the break warms you from the inside.
  • Protect your extremities: Good gloves, warm socks and a neck tube make a big difference.
