At night, your world shrinks to the beam of your headlight. Your eyes stick to the bright patch in front of the wheel – and everything around it disappears. That's exactly when looking consciously matters.

Widening your view at night

  • Beyond the beam: Consciously look to the edge of the light and beyond.
  • Use the reflectors: Roadside posts show you early where the road is heading.
  • Don't stare into the light: With oncoming traffic, direct your gaze to the nearside edge of the road.

Alert eyes give you calm even in the dark. Find out more about perception in my coaching offers.
