Before your bike goes into its winter break, the chain deserves some attention. Moisture and cold take their toll, even if the bike is just standing in the garage.
Winterising your chain
- Clean it thoroughly: Remove dirt and old lube before putting the bike away.
- Lube it well: A fresh coat protects against rust over the winter months.
- Store it dry: A dry, well-ventilated garage is the best winter quarters.
