After several hours in the saddle, your neck starts to complain. Wind, helmet weight and a rigid posture add up – and as tension rises, concentration drops.

Staying loose over many kilometres

  • Change your posture: Shift your seating position slightly now and then and let your shoulders drop.
  • Stop regularly: A short break with a few loosening exercises every one to two hours.
  • Mind the wind: A suitable screen or a well-fitting helmet takes noticeable strain off your neck.

If the pain persists, have it checked by a doctor. For preparing long tours, there's the Adventure Blueprint.
