Dust, heat and rain take their toll on your chain. A short moment of care after the ride extends the life of your drivetrain – and is also a nice ritual to consciously end a ride.
Chain care after the ride
- Lube it warm: After a ride, a warm chain absorbs the chain spray better.
- Keep it clean: Remove heavy dirt first so it doesn't get worked into the chain.
- Follow the manufacturer: Care intervals and products are listed in your bike's owner's manual.
