Composure isn't about using every gap. Sometimes it shows precisely in staying behind when it doesn't feel one hundred per cent right. The few seconds gained aren't worth the stress and the risk.

Overtaking with a clear head

  • An honest check: Can you see far enough? Is the oncoming lane really clear? If you hesitate, the answer is no.
  • Without pressure: Don't let queues or fellow riders push you. Your decision is what counts.
  • Patience as a strength: The next good opportunity almost always comes.

Calm when overtaking can be trained. If you notice impatience pushing you into risky manoeuvres, let's talk about it in a Focus Session.
