For many riders, the hairpin is the final boss on a pass. The most common mistake: your eyes are glued to the front wheel. The solution: turn your head clearly towards the exit – the bike follows your eyes.

Calmly through the hairpin

  • Slow down early: Reduce your speed before the hairpin, not in it.
  • Turn your head: Look over your shoulder to the exit.
  • Breathe out: A conscious breath releases tension in your arms and shoulders.

Riding technique is best deepened on a recognised rider safety course. If hairpins block you mentally, you'll find the right mental training here.
