When did you last check your chain? A quick look takes two minutes and can prevent costly damage. It also has a side effect: if you know your bike, you ride with more confidence.
The two-minute check
- Tension: Check the slack according to your bike's owner's manual.
- Lubrication: A dry or dirty chain needs care – ideally after a ride while it's still warm.
- Condition: Look for stiff links and worn sprocket teeth. If in doubt, have a workshop take a look.
Look after your bike and it will look after you. And if you want to work on your inner maintenance, you'll find suitable coaching offers here.
