Sometimes fear doesn't start in the corner but the evening before. You think about the route, picture the tricky section – and ride it badly ten times in your head before you've even set off.

Redirecting the mental cinema

  • Notice it: When the mental cinema starts, tell yourself: I'm not on the road right now.
  • Change the picture: Imagine the corner the way you ride it well – calmly, with clear vision.
  • Allow a plan B: You're allowed to change the route. Just knowing this takes a lot of pressure off.

The mental cinema is one of the most common topics in coaching. In a Focus Session we work on it specifically.
