With full luggage, the Route des Grandes Alpes rides differently than on a day trip. The bike is heavier, turning in tight hairpins is more demanding, and you feel every unnecessary kilo at the end of the day.

Travelling light over many passes

  • Reduce your luggage: Only pack what you really need. Less weight means more calm.
  • Heavy items low and forward: Distribute the weight low and close to the centre of gravity.
  • Adjust your suspension: Set preload and tyre pressure for the load.

If you start well prepared, you'll enjoy it more. In the Adventure Blueprint we check your setup directly on your packed bike.
