A tense rider is an unsafe rider. And often you don't even notice your own tension. That's why a quick self-check is worthwhile – especially at the weekend, when lots of people are out riding.
The weekend check
- Jaw: Are you clenching your teeth? Let go.
- Shoulders: Are they pulled up? Consciously let them drop.
- Hands: Hold the bars loosely. The bike often stabilises itself if you let it.
Have a lovely weekend and relaxed kilometres. If tension shapes your riding, my Focus Sessions start right there.
