It is tempting to stretch the season in the south by a few more weeks. In late autumn that means short days, cold tyres, wet leaves and passes that are already closed.
If you plan for that, you still get a good finish. Check before every ride which passes are open and whether there is ice. Plan stages that you finish in daylight and in the warm. And if it stops feeling right on the way, your season is over. That's fine.
